Hello

This inspirational piece is from The Playdate Cafe and the challenge is to use the noted colors.

It just so happens that Clearsnap has some amazing inks in these colors, so I was able to create this card.

Using the Crackle Rollagraph Wheel, I created my own background paper by rolling with Sky Ink, then rolling on top with Artichoke Ink, then rolling on top of that with Tangerine Ink. I love making my own backgrounds with these tools because the possibilities are endless!

Using the Tulip stamp, I inked it with Artichoke and Tangerine and lightly spritzed with water for a water color effect. Then I heat set with Pearl Embossing Powder. I then added some Lime Fizz Smooch Glitz to the leaves for a little shimmer.

The sentiment was stamped with Sky Ink and then embossed with Pearl Embossing Powder. I love the effect the embossing powder has with these inks.

Using my Styllus tool with an oval tip, I gently inked around the die cut edges before assembling my card.

Graphic 45 Design Team 2012 Audition

Graphic 45 is having an open audition for their design team, and I am submitting these projects for consideration.

Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern papers: G45
Stamps: Hot Off the Press
Dies: Spellbinders

Merry Christmas Card
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: G45
Stamp: Inkadinkadoo
Inks, Embossing Powder: Clearsnap
Dies: Spellbinders
Punch: Fiskars

G45 papers worked well for this Christmas card. The bells were inked with 2 colors of ink, lightly spritzed with water and then stamped. Clear embossing powder was added for a little shimmer.

Get Well Card
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: G45
Stamps: Hero Arts, MSE
Brads: Basic Grey
Ink: Clearsnap, Mix'd Media Inx

Ribbon

A strip of G45 paper was used as the backgound for my stamped image. The ribbon just added a nice touch of dimension. The stamp was inked with Jasmine Mix'd Media Inx and embossed, then die cut into the shape I wanted. Since I had room on the right side of the card, I added a sentiment stamped in Black Mix'd Media Inx and embossed.

Ink: Clearsnap
Scoring tool: Scor-Pal
Brads: Making Memories

Who wouldn't love to receive this as a gift? The shoe was free hand cut, scored and inked. A little bag of candy was added inside. The little purse is just big enough to hold a gift card or some small candies.

Uncle Rob

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill, Bo Bunny
Pattern paper: Kaiser
Brads: Bo Bunny
Dies: Cricut Expression, Destination and Jubilee Cartridges
Ink: Clearsnap
Embossing: Cuttlebug

One of the only photos I have of my mother's brother who served in North Africa during WW2. I loved the selection of papers and the Cricut cuts I used.

The elephants were cut from Bo Bunny cardstock with my Cricut Expression and inked for dimension.

The title was cut with the Destinations cartridge and "North" was added on using the Jubilee cartridge. Various elements were cut from the pattern paper and matted to give them more dimension.

Thanks for looking.

Good Luck

Need a quick package for a gift to give someone who is moving away or who perhaps just purchased a new home or apartment?

I pulled out my Clearsnap supplies and had this done fairly quickly.

Using Graphic 45 Decades Inks and the Skyline Rollagraph Wheel, stamp onto white cardstock with Venetian Lace and Dark Cashmere. Selecting a section I wanted to use, I paper pieced one portion. Then I hightlighted several windows with some Smooch. I inked the edges of the tag with Dark Cashmere Ink, then added Branches and Blooms and Banner Wishes Design Adhesives onto a tag. I applied Pink Punch and Lucky Penny Designer Foils on top allowing some of the areas to be free of the foils. Adding Pearl Embossing Powder on the entire tag it got the areas I purposely missed and added a little extra shine. Since I had also inked the edges of the tag, you can also see a slight shine around the tag.

I rubbed the Branches and Blooms Design Adhesives onto a black gift bag and applied Pink Punch and Lucky Penny Designer Foils on top. As I did with the tag, I allowed some of the areas to be free, adding Pearl Embossing Powder and then heat setting.

Tie the bag together with pretty ribbon then attach the tag with a solid ribbon.

Supplies:
Ink: Clearsnap (Graphic 45)
Design Adhesives: Clearsnap Branches and Blooms; Banner Wishes
Designer Foils: Clearsnap Pink Punch, Lucky Penny
Embossing Powder: Clearsnap Top Boss Pearl
Rollagraph: Clearsnap Skyline
Smooch: Clearsnap Gold

Thanks

This is my final post at Just Imagine Kreaxions as my DT term is finished. I had so much fun working with the many punches I received and I will continue to work with them and show them off as I can.

So, using my favorite punches (3-in-1 punch #901 and Butterfly punch #604 along with the Lattice Die), I'm sending a great big Thanks to the owners for letting me play with these amazing punches.

I used the Lattice Die to create a frame over my pattern paper. Running the frame through my Xyron allowed for perfect glue placement. Punch #901 was used alone to create the fun butterfly border. I then scattered little butterflies over the Lattice Die so they appear to be in flight.

Just to Let You Know

Good morning, this is today's post at the Papertemptress.com

I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the background. Because this Hot Fudge Pop Tones is so strong, it really allowed the embossing to stand out. I stamped my sentiment on Cryogen White, embossed it, then die cut it. I then die cut 2 additional layers from Razzel Berry Pop Tones and Hot Fudge Pop Tones.

I added a beautiful ribbon around the middle of the card for a little extra pizzazz and a little ink around the card for a finishing touch.

Happy Birthday

This is my second submission for Justrite Stampers newest challenge and since I needed a birthday card, this challenge was perfect.

I stamped and embossed the background of my card with subtle colors and adhered the pattern paper. I stamped and embossed the birthday cake, adding color with Zig Markers. The surrounding sentiment was inked and embossed with Clearsnap's Truffle Mix'd Media Inx.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Pattern paper: GCD Studios
Stamps: Justrite
Ink, Embossing Powders: Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx and Embossing Powders

Enjoy your Birthday

Today's chalenge at SMC is to use 2 designer papers and 4 gems in your project. Not too difficult right?

Here's my take. I used this lovely turtle with some new Momenta pattern papers. I colored her with Copics and then die cut with my Spellbinders. The gems were added to the flower centers.

Just A Line

I created my card from American Crafts pattern paper and used Stickles to highlight the flowers on the paper.

Punch #905 with insert A created a nice border piece across my card, onto which I stamped my sentiment. Because I wanted the punched piece to stand out from the background, I added a strip of black cardstock underneath.

Using the Circle Cutter, I cut a 5" circle and cut off one edge to align it with the edge of my card. I inked the edges with Clearsnap Jasmine Inx, then added flower layers on top. Some more Stickles on the flower petals finished off this card.

A Friend...

Justrite Stampers newest challenge is a sketch challenge.

I used some lovely GCD Studio papers and paired them with Justrite's Friendship stampset and Spellbinders dies. I used Clearsnap's Leather Mix'd Media Inx and Embossing Powder for the sentiment as well as the edges of the frame.

Want2Scrap pearls were added to the center of the rose as well as to the sentiment frame.

Love

Kuretake/Zig is holding it's first challenge of 2012.

I love mixing and matching products and seeing the results of that. I used a Hero Arts stamp which I inked and embossed with Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx. I colored the flowers, leaves and bow with Zig Markers, then added some Clearsnap Smooch Glitz to the flowers for a little shimmer. I also added some Smooch Glitz to the vase.

I die cut the flowers with Spellbinders Circle Die and matted it with a Scalloped Circle Die. The sentiment stamp was colored with a Zig Scroll & Brush marker, then stamped onto white cardstock. A red Scroll & Brush Marker was used around the edges of the die cuts.

Background Creations

Creating your own pattern paper is easy with the right supplies at your fingertips.

I started with a sheet of tin foil onto which I drew assorted lines of color with Zig markers.

Once I had the colors on the tin foil, I spritzed the tin foil with water. Placing my white cardstock on top, I picked up assorted colors, moving the cardstock until I had picked up all the colors.

Putting it aside to dry, I added more color to the tin foil, then spritzed it again. I again placed the white cardstock on top, looking to pick up more color.

Next, I picked up the tin foil, wrapped it into a ball shape, rehydrated it, and tapped it onto a second sheet of cardstock. Unwrapping then rewrapping the tin foil to find other colors, I again rehydrated the foil and again tapped it onto the cardstock.

I put both aside to dry while I decided what I was going to create.

I cut the newly created paper to fit the front of a card, inking the edges with blue Zig Marker to match the background cardstock. I stamped a sentiment in black using Clearsnap's new stamp line, Mix'd Media Inx and Embossing Powder.

Prima flowers and a jeweled brad finished off the card.

For my next card, I embossed black cardstock for the base of the card, then cut apart the background paper. I matted 3 pieces on blue cardstock to use across the center of the card.

The butterfly was cut with my Cricut Expression and the Sentimentals Cartridge. The bottom layer was cut from blue cardstock and the top layer of the butterfly was cut with the paper I just created.

The butterfly fit across the first 2 squares and I stamped a sentiment in the final square with Clearsnap Black Mix'd Media Inx and Embossing Powder. A butterfly trail was created with gems which were colored blue with a Zig Marker so they would stand out against the background.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Zig Markers: Textile Markers, Scroll & Brush Markers, Memory Writers

Flowers: Prima
Ink, Embossing Powder: Clearsnap Mix'd Media Black

Be My Valentine

What do you get when you combine Mix'd Media Inx, Pearl Embossing Powder and Smooch Glitz? A LOVE-ly stamped image with a hint of shimmer.

I inked the stamp with Mix'd Media Jasmine Inx then embossed it with Pearl Embossing Powder. I love the soft, pretty look I was able to achieve.

The smaller sentiment was added with foam adhesives for dimension. Pink Fizz Smooch Glitz was "painted" around the smaller sentiment and then on top of the brads.

Hope you have an awesome Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Today's post at Justimagine/Kreaxion is this card.

As Valentine's Day approaches, I wanted to create a non traditional card using traditional colors, so I pulled out punch #305 and used it to create a border across my card. Since the design is really pretty, I wanted to focus on it, and backed it with some black cardstock to make it pop. I then found some pretty pearl brads that fit perfectly into the loops created by the punch.

A little sentiment, another pearl brad and some twine finished it off nicely.

Be my ....

It's challenge time with Justrite Stampers and it's a great one. Just create a project depecting something you love. Well, honestly, I LOVE my stamps and inks and I especially LOVE creating.

I used one of JustRite's Cling set - Ellie Time. It's an oldie but such a sweet set, especially as we head towards Valentine's Day.

Using the "I love you!" stamp, I created by own background with Clearsnap's Mix'd Media Inx (Schoolhouse) and I also inked the edges of the card. I stamped Ellie and the heart with Black Memento Ink, colored both with Copic Markers, and cut them out.

Spellbinders dies and Grand Calibre dies were used as the foundation of Ellie and were cut from Bazzill and Bo Bunny Double Dot papers. The black just added a nice contrast to my card. A strip of black and red was added to the center of the card and then twine was tied to a little stamped heart. Foam adhesives were used under the largest circle as well as under Ellie for a little dimension.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill, Bo Bunny
Stamps: JustRite - Ellie Time
Ink: Clearsnap Mix'd Media Inx, Memento
Dies: Spellbinders
Twine: The Twinery

With Love

Today's post at thepapertemptress uses some wonderful Pop Tones papers to create this card.

I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the background. Because this Hot Fudge Pop Tones paper is so strong, it really allowed the embossing to stand out. I used another Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the Razzel Berry Pop Tones pink hearts and it also allowed the embossing to stand out.

The sentiment was stamped on Cryogen White and die cut, then added to the card with a paper tagger.

2012 Calendar

I loved this stamp set from My Favorite Things and thought it would be fun to use on a calendar.

I covered the calendar with papers from October Afternoon's Ducks in a Row line. Since the striped paper was not long enough to fit, I added the dotted paper piece along the edge. The center piece was created with the flower paper and some cardstock. Wanting a little more dimension, I cut the "frame" using my Cricut Expression and the Elegant Edges Cartridge, cutting first from cardstock and then from more coordinating paper.

2012 was cut with my Cricut Expression using the Plantin cartridge.

I stamped and embossed the typewriter and the phrases using Colorbox Black Mix'd Media Inx and Embossing Powder. Then I die cut each and added them to the front.

I plan on using this calendar to keep my schedule intact, but I'm thinking this would be a fun gift to make for someone special.
