Bloom

Hi everyone.   It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another challenge at Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps.

Simple Salutations Challenge #60 is to create with girl things.  What girl does not love flowers?  I know I do and I don't get them often enough.  So I used the new Huge Blooms stamp set and created a 4" x 4" card to show off how beautiful this stamp is.

I stamped the Bloom with Clearsnap Purple Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  Then, I used Smooch Accent Inks in Orchid Frost and Illuminate to color the flowers.  Orchid Frost was placed on the tips of the flowers and the centers, then I used Illuminate to draw the color out to the petals, creating a shimmery dual toned flower.

Friendship

Good morning everyone.

It's a new challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms, and Anne has asked us to use the color green in our projects.  I've used the  Laura digital image, coloring her lightly with Zig Markers.  I placed her on pink cardstock and then used green cardstock as the complete background of my card, placing a doily between the image and the card.

The sentiment is from Ornamental Beauty.

Sweetness

Hi everyone, it's Monday and time for another reveal at the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Have  you checked out the stamps and dies from   Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps yet? If not, you should see the fun assortment of stamps and dies they have in stock.  I used the Prickley Pear Warmth rubber stamp, using it as a focal point of my card.  I wanted to create a winter card with some non traditional colors.

I created a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square card.  The blue cardstock was cut 5" x 5" and scored 1/4" and 1/2" from 2 opposite edges.  Using my Cricut Expression, I die cut the fun shape and stamped the sentiment in the center.

I added some bling around the card for some extra "sweetness".

What's Moo

Hi everyone.  It's Wednesday and that means its time for a new challenge at Mark's Finest Papers & Stamps.    This week's Simple Salutations Challenge  is to create with wild animals. Well, while she is not quite the wild animal, this little gal from the Country Charm stamp has a wild sense of humor!!!!

I stamped her with black ink on white paper, then lightly colored her with Zig Markers in Platinum and Baby Pink.  I fussy cut her and mounted her on die cuts and to emphasize the sentiment, I added it to the card front with foam adhesives for dimension.

Anniversary Wishes

Good morning everyone.

This wonderful Lighthouse 3 Digital Image from Cornish Heritage Farms is perfect for so many projects.  It makes for a great masculine card or a card for someone who is just not into flowers.  I decided to create an anniversary card for a couple who loves the beach.

The image was colored with Zig Markers, then die cut with Spellbinders dies.

To really focus on the image, I just used several colors of cardstock, then added a sentiment from Script Essential Expressions.

Using a 5" x 6 1/2" card, I cut brown cardstock to fit, then added some pattern paper on top.  The fun design was created using my Cricut Expression, cutting so that the sentiment would fit right on the oval.  This was inked and then adhered to the mat with foam adhesives for dimension.

Clearsnap and the Stamps of Life Blog Hop

Welcome to The Clearsnap & The Stamps of Life Blog Hop! All day today we're stamping and inking, creating and sharing. Be sure to visit everyone on the hop and leave a comment to be entered to win a fabulous prize of Stephanie Barnard's line of ColorBox inkpads, Stephanie Barnard Sprays!, and Stephanie's new SCREENS!...

Ahhh Photoshop took a beating but I finally got something put together without crashing :) I think I need an update or something...but who has time for that?! LOL

Thanks for your patience!

Today I'm using the birthday4subways clear stamp from the Stamps of Life.  This 4" x 6" stamp has 10 words and phrases in assorted fonts and sizes.  It's the perfect backdrop for all things birthday related.

Using an assortment of Stephanie Barnard Dye Inks  by ColorBox, I created a gift bag and coordinating card.

Gift bag:
I randomly inked the stamp with Tangerine, Cornflower, Grape, Raspberry, Mustard, then stamped on white cardstock.

After inking the edges of the panel with Grape Ink, it was matted with yellow and  purple cardstock.  A sheer May Arts ribbon was wrapped around the panel allowing the underlying words to show through and a flower was added over the knot which had been tied with some twine.
This panel was added to brown cardstock and placed on the gift bag.
A heart shaped doily was also inked with Grape Ink and place between the layers.

White tissue paper is so boring, so I spritzed it with Stephanie Barnard Sprays  in Grape, Sky, Banana and Tangerine Sprays.   The tissue was  dry in a matter of moments, then it was placed in the gift bag.

Card:

Using another sheet of tissue paper which had also been spritzed with Grape, Sky, Banana and Tangerine Sprays, I tore it into pieces to use as the background of my card.
To keep those stubborn little pieces in place, Glue Gloss  works wonders.

The stamp was inked with Chocolate Ink and stamped on yellow cardstock, then die cut into an oval.  Tangerine Ink was sponged around the edges before adhering to a mat.
To use one of the words in this stamp set, I created a mask around the word I wanted, then inked it with Chocolate Ink.
Pulling the mask off, I then stamped the word on yellow cardstock and inked the edges with Tangerine before matting with brown cardstock.

I tied some twine around the center and added the sentiment with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thinking of You

Good morning everyone.  It's time for another challenge at Oozak blog. This time the theme is anything goes using sea colors from this inspirational photo:

I chose this amazing newsprint stamp to create the backdrop of my card..
Using Ranger Distress Inks, I inked up my craft mat then spritzed it with water.
I dragged my cardstock through the inks several times then allowed it to dry.

Once dry, I dragged it through the inks again to get different layering effects.
I cut the panel to fit and added additional ink around the edges before adhering to blue cardstock.

Using Scor-tape, I adhered the printed ribbon to the solid ribbon and tied them around this panel before adhering the panel to the card.

The sentiment was stamped on a left over scrap of inked paper then added to the card with a stick pin.

Hello

Good morning everyone, it's my turn to host this weeks' challenge at Cornish Heritage Farms  and I would love to see you create a project with a bird.  It can be a bird stamp, bird paper, bird ribbon - whatever strikes your fancy.

I used the Bird 2 Digital Stamp, coloring it with Zig Markers before fussy cutting it.  I used some papers in my stash to create a masculine feeling card and wrapped some twine around it before adhering the bird image.

I have had these scrabble letter is my stash forever so it was nice to finally have a card to use them on.

Don't forget to stop by everyone's blog today for more inspiration.

Wishing You Success

Hi everyone, it's Monday and time for another reveal at the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Have  you checked out the stamps and dies from   Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps yet? If not, you should see the fun assortment of stamps and dies they have in stock.  I used an assortment of Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and dies for this card with some awesome Clearsnap Inks.

I created a 3" x 3" square card and used my Cricut to create the top shape of the card.   I purposely chose the oval opening so I could have the Graduation sentiment GG0401 front and center of the card.  After inking each piece with Clearsnap Ink, I assembled the card.

To complete the exterior, I used the leaves from the Oak & Maple Leaf die, lightly spritzing them and forming them to the shape I desired.  A little brown ink was added once they were dry.  The flower was created from a Cheery Lynn die - Cuties 2, which makes a great little flower.  It was added right on top of the leaves.

The sentiment is Enjoy the Journey DD0037, which was stamped on white cardstock and then inked with brown ink before matting with blue cardstock.

Welcome

Good morning, everyone.

It's Thomas Kinkade week at Cornish Heritage Farms  and I've used The Forest Chapel stamp.  This is such a pretty and very detailed stamp.  I inked it with Perfect Medium and stamped it on white cardstock.  I then carefully added several colors of Perfect Pearls across the image. Once I had the look I wanted, I lightly spritzed the image with water and allowed it to dry before moving on.

To bring out the blues in the stream, I matted the image with blue cardstock then added it to a black card.

The sentiment is from Script Essential Expressions  and this was offset with some Robin's Nest Dew Drops which I adhered with The Best Glue Ever by ScraPerfect.

I've had Perfect Pearls in my stash for a long time, but rarely use them.  Why not pull out something you haven't used in awhile and create with it?  You'll be amazed at what you'll be able to create!

I am submitting to the following challenges:

Happy Birthday

Hi everyone.

I repeatedly stamped the Swag (HH0038) across the card front.  Since I used an orange base, I chose to use Clearsnap's Pumpkin Pie Ink.  To edge this piece, I used a Prickley Pear die which I attached with brads.

The Happy Birthday sentiment (DD0168) was stamped with Clearsnap's Licorice Ink on orange cardstock and mounted on brown cardstock before being popped on the card front.
