Three Wise Men

Hi everyone, I've got a new post on the JoyClair blog today one of the next stamp sets released this month - Three Wise Men.

Using a Spellbinders die, I die cut the stars from yellow cardstock and used it as a stencil.  I spritzed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

I wrapped the panel with twine and added my image.

My next card uses the same star die as a background element.

The Color and Texture of Fall

Hi everyone, I have a new project on the Paverpol blog - a fall canvas.  I absolutely LOVE fall - the colors, the crunchy leaves, the cooler weather.  And I love my project.  I think it really epitomizes fall and all it stands for.

I used the Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter to cut a Smoothfoam ball in half.  Then used Paverpol Light Flesh Tone with fabric and wrap the fabric around one of the half balls.  Twist the fabric at the top and allow some fabric folding for dimension.  This created the pumpkin onto which I added more Paverpol with Pavercotton to add dimension.  Makin's Clay was added as swirls around the pumpkin.

I wrapped fabric around the 2nd Smoothfoam ball and smoothed it, then painted with red and green to create the apple.  Makin's Clay was created for the apple stem.

FALL was created using Makin's Clay clay and Alphabet Cutters and added to the corner with Beacon Adhesives.

Then I added assorted twigs, flowers, twine to finish and spritzed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

For the complete tutorial, please stop by the Paverpol blog.

Happy New Year Wine Charms

Hi everyone.  Do you believe that New Year is almost upon us again?  So let's get ready to celebrate in style with some etched wine glasses decorated with ribbons and pretty wine charms.

Begin by etching wine glasses with etchall® etching crème.   Die cut the year from the Cricut using vinyl.

Place tape around the glass so the etching crème does not touch the glass.  Add a generous amount of etching crème on the glass.

Allow to sit for 15 minutes, the remove the etching crème and return it to the jar.  Eching crème is reusable so it can be used on other projects.

To create the wine charms, mix equal parts EasyCast® Clear Casting Epoxy resin and hardener into a mixing cup.  Stir for 2 full minutes to properly mix the products.  Then pour into a second cup and mix for another minute.

Die cut designs from assorted colors of Rinea Foils.   Use Ultra Seal Multi-Purpose Sealer to glue the foils in the bezels.  Once in place, paint another layer of Ultra Seal Multi-Purpose Sealer on the foils.  Allow to dry completely before continuing.

Use the stir stick to add resin to the bezels.  Pop any bubbles that may appear.  Allow to cure for at least 24 hours before moving the bezels.

Add the completed charm plus an assortment of beads onto memory wire.

Use the Bowdabra to create bows and tie them to the wine stems along with some decorative holiday bulbs.

Add a charm to each glass and enjoy.

The bows and charms can be removed for easy clean up.

GIve Thanks with RInea Paper Foil

Hi everyone, I am participating in the Designer Crafts Connection blog hop this month.  This month we are working with Rinea paper foil from Global Crafting.

I was thrilled to receive a selection of paper foils in a myriad of colors, each one gorgeous.

I love how easily the foils die cut and embossed.  Look at all that dimension!

I used a white card and added a panel of kraft cardstock.  Next, I added some burlap to give the card a nice fall theme.

After die cutting the foil, I stamped and embossed the JoyClair sentiment directly on the foil.

Rinea paper foil comes in a variety of colors and surfaces.  You can find more information about Rinea paper foil here: www.globalcrafting.com.

Please stop by the DCC blog to see projects from all the designers.

Please leave me a comment, I'd love to know what you think!

Happy Thanksgiving with Joyclair

Hi everyone, I've got a new post on the JoyClair blog today using some amazing stamps.

This Happy Thanksgiving card started as a tag.  I used the Hello Autumn stamp set, one of my favorite sets.

I used assorted colors of alcohol ink on the tag, then sponged on some brown ink.

The leaves were inked in assorted colors then fussy cut and added to the tag with foam adhesives.  A sentiment from the same set was added across the top of the tag.

These cute treat bags use stamps from the Fall Time Planner stamp set.

I arranged the stamps on the bag, then picked them up with an acrylic block.  This ensures that the stamps are positioned where you want them.

Fill with some candies or small gifts and give to family and friends.

Please stop by the Joy Clair blog for more details and additional projects.

The stockings were hung.......

On the Proxxon Tools blog today I have a Christmas shadowbox that was upcycled from a Halloween decoration.

I wanted to create a "living room" setting with the tree in the corner and the stockings hanging from the mantle.   And Christmas is not complete without reindeer, right?

Please stop by the blog for the details.

Divine Twine Metallics - Rose Gold Vintage Metallic

1.  Stamp each bag randomly with a leaf stamp that has been inked with several colors of ink giving them a fall look.

2.  Decorate one bag with large die cut leaves that have been tied together with Rose Gold Vintage Metallic Twine.
3.  Adhere to the bag with a sentiment then add raffia and a treat inside.

4.  Tie Rose Gold Vintage Metallic around the second bag.
5.  Place a small gift or candy inside, fold down the top edge and use a tiny clothes pin in the corner.
6.  Tie additional twine to the corner and place die cut leaves and sentiment under the folded edge.

These would make wonderful treat bags for the Thanksgiving table for family and friends.  They'd also make a nice little treat for our teachers.

Joy Clair November Release

It's new release day at Joy Clair and the new stamps are amazing once again!!

Today I'm using A Child is Born.  I wanted to keep the card simple, so I stamped Mary and the phrase on white cardstock and embossed them.  I added a light blue sash.

I repeatedly stamped the stars so they appear to be encircling Mary.

Hop with us. Be sure to visit each of the designers on this blog hop!

Merry Christmas Penguins

It's challenge time at JoyClair and this month we'd love to see you create a project using these lovely colors.

I used the cute Christmas Penguins clear stamp set.

I stamped her first in black ink and embossed her.  Then I added color to the ornaments using Clearsnap Smooch Accent Inks.  Once die cut, she was matted on a larger die.

The card is green cardstock and 2 layers of pink were added on top.  Merry Christmas is from the Cozy Snowman Wishes clear stamp set, then formed across the top of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today.
