Bowdabra cards

Hi everyone, did you see these fun cards I created earlier this month with the Bowdabra?

Stop by the Bowdabra blog for all the details.

The stamps are from Joy Clair stamps.

Creating any type or size of bow is so  easy with the Bowdabra.

I've used a 1" mesh ribbon here and it holds up beautifully.

And here I've used 1/2" sheer ribbon.  I was able to create a 6 looped bow for more definition.

Please stop by the Bowdabra blog for all the details.

Sunset Dreams

I've got a new post on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamp blog today using this amazing Adirondak Sunset stamp and to watch a sunset sentiment.

I colored the image with Copic Markers.  Since I used watercolor paper, I got a nice subtle look.

The image was placed on black cardstock and the bottom edge of the cardstock was torn.

I stamped the sentiment in the lower corner of the card.

 I then assembled the card.

I'm wishing I were sitting in that chair!

Spring is Ducky

Hi everyone, I've got another post for Sunsational Stamps.  Have you seen all the stamps and images in the store?  Today, I'm using stamps from the  Sping is Ducky set.

Spring is Ducky

Aren't they cute?

I love these feet sticking out of the water, so I just had to use this image!  I used an oval die to cut the image, cutting around the pussy willows so they remained free.  Then I matted it with a larger oval.

I colored the image with Copic Markers.  To create the background I used a Sizzix embossing folder to emboss the front panel of the card.  Then to emphasize the embossing, I  inked over the embossing and then wrapped the card with twine.

Don't you love it?

Be sure you visit in the store to see all the fun products available.

Hope Anchors my Soul

Hi everyone, my newest card on the Joy Clair blog uses the new stamp set - Anchor of Hope.

I used the MISTI to line up the anchors along the edge of my card.

I scored lines above the anchors then lightly inked.  The phrase was stamped and die cut, then added to the card with foam adhesives.

Etched Mason Jar Centerpieces

Hi everyone.   Today I'm using  etchall® to etch mason jars.  Etchall is a re-usable etching liquid with the consistency of water.  I simply placed my mason jars in a bowl of etchall to create an etched surface.

I  placed the mason jars in etchall for approximately 15 minutes.  I then removed them and rinsed them off.  This etched appearance is what I was able to achieve.

I didn't etch the top portion of each mason jar because I was planning to add a bow to each one.

Next, I used my Mini Bowdabra to create 4 looped bows from tulle for each mason jar.

I filled each mason jar with rocks, wrapped tulle around the flowers and placed them in the jars.  Then I tied the bows around the jars using the bow wire.

2017 stickers were added to each jar.

Blue Plant Stand

My newest project is on the Proxxon blog.

I sanded the plant sand with the Proxxon Delta Sander.

I painted the stand with Plaid Milk Paint in Jamestown Blue (on the top) and Meeting House Blue (on the base).

I used the Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter to cut Smoothfoam into a heart and used the heart as a stamp.  I painted the heart with Plaid Coastal Texture Paint in Sand Dollar and stamped it on the plant stand.

Painting the heart with Plaid Coastal Texture Paint in Sand Dollar, I used the heart as a stamp and stamped a heart in each corner.  I also painted Sand Dollar within the hearts of the base.

And a pretty stand is ready to be used.

Picture Perfect Wishes

I'm using two of the newest stamp sets this month - God's Focus and Hello Sentiments.  God's Focus has 3 word and tons of elements to create some amazing projects.  The Hello Sentiments has tons of words that are perfect for many occasions.

I created the background by repeatedly stamping the camera on a panel of peach cardstock using black ink.  I alternated the positioning so the cameras were offset on the panel.  I then cut the panel to fit black cardstock and added it to my card.

Using the larger "Sending" stamp from the Hello Sentiments stamp set, I stamped it on white cardstock.  I wanted to use part of the sentiment stamp included with the God's Focus stamp set so I masked off the words I did not want to use.  For this purpose, I used a post it note to hide the words I did not want.  Then I inked the stamp.  I pulled away the post it note before stamping under "Sending".

Next, I stamped wishes to complete my phrase.  Finally, I used a circle die to  die cut the phrase and matted it with a scalloped die which I then added to the card with foam adhesives.

Sew Sweet Card with Rinea Foils

Hi everyone, I am participating in the Designer Crafts Connection blog hop this month.  And this month we are working with Rinea Foils.  Rinea Foil is made up of a thin sheet of paper sandwiched between two layers of thin aluminum foil - the paper gives it sturdiness and stiffness while the foil gives it the shininess and the malleability to maintain the shape however you bend or fold it.

I know I've said it before, but these foils are absolutely amazing!  Check out all those gorgeous colors!

No automatic alt text available.

If you haven't worked with Rinea Foils, I've got an amazing card to share with you.

Rinea Foils die cut beautifully and easily no matter the size or intricacy of the dies.  I paired some fun stamps from Rubber Dance - Sew Sweet, with a collection of Spellbinders dies - All Stitched Up.

I created the background for my card using the stamps from the Sew Sweet set.  I wanted to create a pattern effect by randomly stamping the images.  I lightly inked the panel and matted it with black cardstock before adding it to the card.

Next, I used assorted foils, both embossed and glossy, to die cut all the elements for my card.  How fun that all these elements came together effortlessly.  I even die cut 2 pairs of scissors and placed them to appear as if they were open and ready to cut the pattern.

I wanted all the sewing elements to pop, so I placed them atop a black cardstock oval, then adhered them to a large oval die cut from Embossed Violet Foil.

The sentiment was added at the end with foam adhesives for dimension.

What do you think?

Please stop by the  Designer Crafts Connection blog to see an assortment projects using Rinea Foils.

Mothers' Day with Joy Clair Stamps

Hi everyone, today the design team for Joy Clair stamps is showcasing Mother's Day projects.  With the wide variety of stamps available, it's easy to create something Mom will love.  Stop by the Joy Clair blog to see all these fun cards the designers have created.

This Mother's Day stamp set has 9 stamps has something for everyone whether you want to create a general Mother's Day card or a funny Mother's Day card.

I stamped the teacup and sentiment in purple ink, then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I love how the embossing powder really highlights the image.  I then die cut the image into an oval shape and die cut a larger purple oval to mat the image.

I lightly distressed some pattern paper and inked with purple ink.  Next I wrapped ribbon around the panel before adding it to a purple base.  The image was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Please stop by the Joy Clair blog to see what the designers have created for Mother's Day.
